Cardiovascular Disease is the general term for diseases of the cardiovascular system and these include artherosclerosis, coronary heart disease, heart attack, stroke, high blood pressure, peripheral vascular disease and congestive heart failure. Around 3.67 million Australiana are affected by cardiovascular disease and 1.1 million Australians are disabled long-term by this disease.
